Mainline 2018 Company Event

Mainline Marketing had our annual End-of-Year event on December 6th, 2018. After a few days of meetings to close out the year and plan ahead, employees and significant others gathered for an end-of-year party of sorts! This annual tradition of getting everyone together is great opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the year and spend some relaxing time together – but really it’s just a guise for drinking away our frustrations with coworkers. If we hear Clinton say “I’ve got a crazy idea!” one more time, someone might just die.

The party was hosted at Splitsville in Tampa, and the amazing buffet and open bar tab made made for a very joyous occasion. The event went off without a hitch (no one split their pants)! Besides eating and drinking, we tried our hand at bowling!

Everyone was thrilled to wear a special hat when they scored a strike, except for Craig apparently …

Chet was on fire, as evidenced by his “Golden Turkey” (award for three strikes bowled consecutively):

While everyone had a blast, let’s just say, it’s a good thing we had awards for all skill levels. Winners included:

  • Amy: Most Fashion-abowl
  • Rob: King of the Gutter
  • Zach: Time to Spare
  • Chet: High Roller AND Lucky Strike (there was no “Overachiever” award this year)
  • Craig: Split Happens
  • Michael: Bowldog

Dana summarizes the event perfectly: “What started out as a joke at our 2017 Year End Meeting (“Hey, let’s just go bowling next year!”), our 2018 meeting turned out to be one of my favorites so far! Everything was great, from the location in historic Tampa, to the extremely competitive bowling championships at Splitsville, and our amazing dinner at The Colombia. Jen and Clinton continue to outdo themselves planning our year-end events! Can’t wait to see what they come up with this year. As long as it doesn’t involve anything that floats on the ocean!”

We are all curious about what might happen next year …
